Chief Financial Officer

The Role

We are searching for a commercially minded and business-driven Chief Financial Officer to join the Leadership Team and act as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO. The CFO will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting business growth, and strengthening the organisation’s ability to make data-driven decisions.
Beyond ensuring strong financial governance and control, the CFO will be responsible for transforming Finance into a proactive value-creation function that supports the business through insight, transparency and effective decision-making.
The role carries full responsibility for a finance organisation of approximately 19 employees located across Farre, Aars and Skanderborg and includes leadership of the following areas:
•    FP&A & Business Partnering
•    Accounting & Compliance
•    Production Controlling & Master Data
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will contribute actively to the strategic agenda, helping the business improve profitability, efficiency and long-term competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

•    Acting as a strategic and financial advisor to the CEO and Leadership Team.
•    Driving financial performance with a strong focus on profitability, margin management and cash flow optimisation.
•    Creating transparency through robust financial reporting and high-quality data.
•    Establishing a reliable “one source of truth” for financial and operational information.
•    Developing and embedding meaningful KPIs and performance management disciplines across the organisation.
•    Supporting strategic and operational decision-making through strong business partnering.
•    Driving standardisation and optimisation of ERP and BI systems.
•    Leading the continued digital transformation of the finance function.
•    Reducing manual processes and increasing automation and the use of AI-enabled tools.
•    Strengthening financial planning, forecasting and management reporting processes.
•    Improving operational efficiency and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin enhancement.
•    Building strong partnerships with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and other business functions.
•    Creating accountability through disciplined performance follow-up and variance management.
•    Leading, developing and inspiring the finance organisation while ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.

•    Establish greater transparency and confidence in financial data, reporting and KPI structures.
•    Elevate the leadership capability and effectiveness of the finance organisation.
•    Strengthen business partnering and collaboration across the company.
•    Reduce manual processes, increase automation and accelerate the adoption of AI-driven solutions.
•    Build a strong talent pipeline and develop future leaders within Finance.

 

Candidate Profile

•    Experience from a manufacturing environment, ideally within food, beverage, FMCG, agriculture or related industries.
•    Strong understanding of value-chain economics, operational performance and margin management.
•    Deep expertise within operations finance, supply chain finance and production controlling.
•    A proven track record of driving performance improvement, profitability initiatives and organisational development.
•    Strong experience with ERP and Business Intelligence platforms.
•    The ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
•    Experience leading larger finance teams across multiple locations.
•    Excellent stakeholder-management and influencing skills.
