Product Director (Buying & Design)

The opportunity

For SELECTED we are searching for an experienced Product Director (Buying & Design) to take full ownership of the commercial product agenda and lead the product engine across Buying, Design, Sourcing and Sustainability.
This is a senior, business critical leadership role and a full member of the Executive Management Team. The role is central to shaping SELECTED’s future product strategy and ensuring strong commercial performance across international markets, both DTC and B2B.

The role

Your impact
As Product Director, you will be responsible for defining and protecting what creates value for SELECTED. You will build a strong, commercially driven product organisation and ensure clarity, focus and execution across the full product lifecycle.

You will work closely with the Brand Director, Omnichannel Director, Sales Heads and Head of Essentials (NOOS), operating as an equal partner with shared responsibility for delivering:

The right product, at the right time, to the right customer, across channels and markets.
 

• Own and drive the global commercial product strategy and performance
• Lead Buying, Design, Sourcing and Sustainability as one integrated function
• Define assortment, pricing and margin architecture
• Strengthen trading mindset and in season responsiveness
• Establish clear decision making frameworks and ownership
• Define and optimise the end to end product operating model
• Partner closely with Sales, Omnichannel and Essentials
• Build a high performing leadership culture based on clarity, accountability and execution
