Closing the Gender Gap

According to the 2023 Global Gender Gap Report, only 68.6% of the global gender gap in areas such as economic participation, education, health, and political empowerment has been closed, with full parity still 131 years away at the current rate of progress.
The European gender pay gap shows that women earn 13% less than men on average. Additionally, the gender savings gap across the EU is significant, with women saving 40-50% less than men. Women in the EU also receive 30% less in their pensions. In terms of corporate leadership, women hold 32.6% of management board positions in the USA compared to 29.5% in Sweden.
These statistics emphasize progress but are a reminder that much work remains to be done in terms of overcoming the challenges women face.
