ICG were acquired by HFT in early 2022, who have set a vision of long-term ownership horizons and significant growth plans for the Group. The strategic ambition is to grow long-term shareholder value, through a strategy of acquisition, combined with driving optimum operational performance.

Opportunity Overview

ICG are now seeking a CFO of exceptional calibre and ambition to play a pivotal role in the achievement of the Group’s strategic objectives.  Key role deliverables and competencies are summarised below.

  • Strategic Business Leadership.  ICG are seeking a candidate who is demonstrably able to drive business growth, focus and performance in line with the Groups strategic objectives.  The CFO should become the right hand of the MD, viewed as a leader amongst leaders and offering a potential future succession option.
  • Change / Growth Leadership.  A track record of successfully delivering sustainable and impactful growth both functionally and across the breadth of an organisation.  
  • Strong Commercial Acumen and Impact.  Demonstrable ability to recognise and tune into the commercial drives of ICG, drive results, and impact how the business behaves to optimise commercial value. 
  • Tech / Systems / Data savvy.  ICG can unlock greater commercial value through the generation of data insights that can be utilised by the business management team. 
  • Breadth of functional leadership.  The CFO will assume direct functional responsibility for Finance, IT and Procurement.
  • Skilled relationship builder.  It is essential that the CFO can build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Ambition, Drive, Energy & Pace.  It is an exciting time for ICG, the business has an excellent platform from which to achieve further transformative growth.  The CFO will be at the forefront of this, setting the standards and taking others to places they may not realise are possible.
  • Background.  ICG is a fast growing, complex, customer centric, multi-dimensional, multi-location, leveraged business.  It is anticipated that the appointed CFO will know what good looks like within the context of this background mix.
