The Opportunity

The Procurement Lead will have/be:

  • Overall Procurement responsibility for the whole organisation, including best practice development, implementation
  • Managing a varied contracts portfolio and key categories including IT, Utilities, FM
  • Reviewing contracts, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, value-add, sustainability
  • Procurement Lead upon key Projects
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, informing them as to the Procurement strategy and benefits to ensure early engagement with Procurement – promoting a proactive, consultative Business Partnering approach whilst ensuring compliance
  • Managing and mentoring one team member

About You

  • Proven Indirects procurement experience (Client is open to public or private sector) – mindset and cultural fit are paramount 
  • Confident negotiator and engaging communicator – resilient, comfortable with supplier interactions/liaising with internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, accomplished relationship-builder
  • Excellent relationship-building, proven track record  – ensuring collaborative outcomes
  • Self-motivated, proactive self-starter – driven, resilient and tenacious
  • Energetic, forward-thinking – keen to implement new ideas - continuous improvement mindset
  • Values-driven and customer-focused
