Structural Engineer

For the European team, we are now looking for a Structural Engineer to partake in the full scale and development of Calix’s LEILAC projects. This person is an important part of the design team, and will provide structural calculations and analysis, and technical expertise for the structural design. We are looking for someone who is proficient in structural concept design and 3D modelling, preferably with experience from heavy industry. Interpreting ideas and concepts to recommend solutions from a design perspective is key, and we are looking for a creative and innovative person. Understanding steel and concrete towers will be key for this role. Communicating with members to obtain input on designs is important, and this person will operate in a multidisciplinary environment. This is a homebased position with minor travelling within Europe, and can be based anywhere in The UK of France.

Desired Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject, such as Civil/Structural 
  • 5+ years’ experience working as Structural Engineer 
  • Experience of working within medium to large scope projects within a multidiscipline environment and of delivering work with global teams
  • Experience from working in relevant industries, such as Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Nuclear. 
  • Knowledge within optimisation of steel and concrete towers 
  • Innovative and Creative
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
