Envision AESC are the world’s leading battery technology company and lithium-ion battery manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North East’s highest profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland. 

We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team in order to support the current Battery Plant operation and development of a new world class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace
 

The opportunity

Working as part of the core project team, to deliver the UK's first "at scale" Gigafactory.  As Process Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of a specified zone from design to mass production.  

  • Represent engineering department in all aspects from initial project phase to mass production of the Gigafactory. 
  • Develop processes from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers. 
  • Lead the development of a manufacturing zone, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  
  • Planning, schedule control and project management on time to budget. 

About you

As an experienced Process Engineer, you will have previous experience in the delivery of complex capital equipment from design through to commissioning and hand over to Production.  With a minimum of HNC in Engineering, you will demonstrate the experience in providing technical expertise (ATEX, machinery directive etc) to capital equipment to ensure that process effectiveness is truly at the forefront of your mind from the very beginning of the project.  With previous experience in working with capital equipment suppliers, you will have experience in the machinery equipment directive to truly be able to understand the complex process requirements to support the development
