Nigel Wright is delighted to be recruiting a technical training specialist for Draeger's Service Academy organisation, responsible for device technical training within the medical portfolio.  The role will be based from one of Draeger’s Northern offices in either Aberdeen or Blyth and will deliver technical training to customers from these sites, along with on-site training at approved locations predominantly in Scotland or the North of England.

This is a key role within Draeger’s Service Academy Training organisation,  delivering Technical training courses and workshops at approved locations in the North of England and Scotland. Accredited technical Training will be delivered to both internal and external customers on assigned devices / care area / product line.

This will predominantly be in the field of:

•    Ventilation (emergency transport & ICU high dependency)
•    Anaesthesia (induction & main theatres)
•    May be extended to Warming Therapy and Monitoring

Training areas will include:

•    Installation, commissioning calibration
•    User operation, daily checks
•    Periodic inspection and 1st line repairs
•    Full configuration, in field testing & repairs and replacement parts
•    Field and workshop repair and fault finding
•    Specialised knowledge of relevant IT communication protocols and industry accepted standards technologies used.
•    To meet & exceed the expectations of all customers whether internal or external
•    Reliable, honest and trustworthy capable of representing Draeger to appropriate customers.

•    This role would suit candidates with experience within a hospital engineering background or field service engineers who have experience in service /repair of this type of equipment and may have some training experience.
•    Degree or Higher education certificate in Engineering, Electronics engineering bias would be preferred.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training across technical product areas.
•    Posses or be willing to attend a recognised teacher training program such as City & Guilds course 7302 or 6303 PTLLS & 6304 CTLLS, Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent. 
•    Knowledge of Draeger or similar products is highly desirable
•    Customer focus with a positive attitude towards solving customer problems
•    Excellent inter-personal skills from an instructional perspective
•    Full driving license.
•    Candidates will need to undergo a standard CRB check
•    Expertise in use of software applications such as MS Office
