The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright Recruitment has been retained to support a global manufacturer in the TiO2 sector, with the recruitment of a globally focussed Technical Customer Support Manager position.  The position will be UK based and can be remote, or based at the Company’s Northern England offices.

Role Profile:

  • Supporting customers globally and in particularl in Europe, both on a remote and face to face basis.
  • Providing technical support to the sales, marketing product stewardship and customer service functions.
  • Providing technical support to customers on formulations and applications across the range of TiO2 products serving the inks, plastics, coatings and paper sectors.
  • Investigating and resolving customer technical issues.
  • Managing the complaints process.
  • Acting as the technical liaison between customers and manufacturing plant.
  • Liaising with R + D on new product development and the optimisation of existing products.
  • Define and develop customer specifications.

  • Experience in the titanium dioxide industry, or a downstream industry such as coatings, paints, plastics, inks etc.
  • A track record in a customer facing technical support role.
  • An academic background in chemistry, chemical engineering or a  related discipline.
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Comfortable with global travel (predominantly Europe, some travel to China).
