For over 25 years Christians Against Poverty (CAP) have helped those in financial difficulty in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada from their headquarters in Bradford.

Entering a new era for their technology capability and delivery, CAP is investing significantly to improve their service offering, increase client empowerment and make services scalable. This transformation will allow CAP to improve efficiency and help greater numbers of those in need.

The Head of Operations, Technology is a new senior leadership team role to ensure CAP’s systems, data, infrastructure and devices are secure, available and effective. 

The role

As Head of Operations your role will involve you leading a team that is responsible for:

  • The administration of third-party systems such as Salesforce, XCD, Confluence and Jira
  • Running a well-regarded Help Desk
  • Leading on IT Security
  • Ensuring that plans are in place for disasters
  • Managing commercial negotiations and contracts with vendors
  • Providing tech advice to international teams and ensuring staff and volunteers understand and comply with tech policies

Who we're looking for

Candidates will need to be passionate about technology, with aligned cultural values to the organisation backed up by a mix of technical knowledge, commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills. 

You should have experience leading a multi discipline team, managing large scale business infrastructure operations preferably in a charity or public sector organisation. There is also a genuine occupational requirement to be a practicing Christian for this role.

The organisation is based in Bradford however this role can work fully remotely.
