The Role

In this newly created role, you will look to develop an effective pro-active and reactive facilities service to support their 9 branches (from Stockton to Northallerton) and Head Office in Darlington.  Reporting to the Head of HR, you will build effectively relationships throughout the Society to ensure facilities issues are resolved effectively through their very established contractor relationships.  The development of a high quality dedicated facilities management service will enable our contractor to become more pro-active in support enabling the Society to benefit from increased value.  You will provide tactical delivery support in the branch modernisation programme; whilst giving confidence to internal customers to solve day to day problems as and when they arise.  You will ensure the Society remains compliant from a regulatory and Health & Safety Perspective, whilst also ensuring effective budget management for all facilities, Health & Safety and maintenance.  

About You

As an experienced Facilities Manager, you will have considerable reactive and proactive facilities management experience ideally supporting similar sites.  With well developed communication skills, you will look to build relationships internally to give confidence in the responsiveness and proactive high quality service. Previous experience in the continued development of pro-active facilities management service you will also demonstrate a passion for being hands on and responding promptly to problems.  Additional experience in budget management for facilities and developing high quality long standing relationships with contractors to deliver high quality or service whilst ensuring commercial value.
