As the business looks to embark on the next stage of its growth journey, there is a need to recruit a Head of Engineering who can play a pivotal role in influencing and driving the right behaviours, helping people to understand ‘what good looks like’ and ultimately ensuring long term success. A well invested site, there are several different opportunities that can be utilised to support the business in achieving its growth, and the Head of Engineering will play a key role in that decision making process.
The successful candidate will ensure the effective management and development of the engineering team. Not only will there be a requirement to support across an additional shift, but there is a need to sophisticate the engineering function to create an environment where continuous improvement is the norm. The site has seen a huge amount of investment, and as it looks to continue this and bring in more automation, there is a need for the Head of Engineering to create a team that drives preventative maintenance, reduces major incidents and is more strategically minded. The Head of Engineering will drive performance through achievement and review of KPI’s, effective leadership, coaching and mentoring, and engaging with all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
If you are interested in discussing this opportunity further and have the following experience, then please do get in touch:
• Demonstrable experience in food manufacturing in an Engineering Management role
• Proven experience driving sustainable change, having a long-term positive impact on behaviours on site
• Working in, and understanding the challenges and opportunities of a high growth business
• A natural ability to drive a mindset of continuous improvement, leading by example, and creating a team that want to succeed
• Confident challenging the status quo and bringing new ideas to the table
