As a recently carved out business, we now comprise two production plants in Team Valley, UK, one for mineral fibre tiles and one for grid, as well as sales teams in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and the Baltic States. This business is well positioned in these markets and highly profitable and will also benefit from significant investment in the coming 3-5 years in order to expand the production capability of both manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing engineering projects and implementation of capital investment for the grid manufacturing plant based in Gateshead. Working closely with the capable and pro-active maintenance team, you will provide higher level technical engineering support to the plant along with identify and maximising opportunities for process improvement on the plant. This is a site undergoing further capital investment to support Zentia's wider strategic growth ambitions.
You will be responsible for:
As an experienced Engineer, you will have considerable experience in delivering process improvements in a complex batch manufacturing site. Previous experience in delivering capital equipment projects or supporting new product introduction would be advantageous. With well developed communications skills, you will demonstrate the ability to give confidence to the Senior Management Team whilst working effectively at all levels on the shop floor. With a minimum of HNC/HND, you will have experience in providing more complex technical engineering support to maintenance to ensure the plant reaches it's full potential.
