SSE Audio provides sound solutions for a wide variety of professional audio requirements, including sound design for shows, tours and permanent installations; contract rental; audio equipment servicing and repair; and equipment and flight case fabrication.

SSE Audio Group's head office is in Redditch in the UK Midlands, with other premises in London (Park Royal) and Manchester (Heywood).
 

The Role:


The Head of HR will work in close partnership with the UK leadership team and will take the leadership of the company’s HR function across the UK to ensure that SSE Audio Group is recognised as a great place to work with consistent and effective HR programs fostering engagement and well-being.

Based in Redditch and reporting to Solotech’s CHRO in Canada, and as a member of the global HR leadership team, the successful candidate will be a strong leader, effective communicator, creative problem-solver and a true business partner who can work across all brands to help the company meet its strategic and operational objectives through effective management of its human resources.

The Head of HR will play a vital role in developing the new UK leadership team, ensuring the business is working together effectively to drive a sustainable and harmonised people strategy.
 

What we are looking for:

 

  • The Head of HR will be a ‘hands on’ generalist dealing with all aspects of the people strategy from talent through to cultural change. 
  • You will be a natural influencer and enjoy working with a diverse group of key stakeholders across multiple locations. 
  • Experience of modernising an existing function or building a department from scratch would be highly desirable. 
  • You will also have experience gained within an international organisation and understand what a good HR business partnering model looks like.
  • You will have a proved track record of delivery and enjoy taking people on the journey through change and development. 
  • Payroll management, employee relations and recruitment strategy are all major parts of this role. 
  • Strong change management experience is essential, good understanding of mergers and acquisitions is desirable.
