Envision AESC have joined forces with Nissan and Sunderland City Council as part of the "Nissan EV36Zero’ project that’ll see not only a new, fully electric car pumped out of the Wearside factory, but a whole battery gigafactory and solar farms to help it run cleanly.

The Role

Envision AESC UK are now starting the recruitment process to add expertise to core areas of the business in preparation for the next exciting phase of its journey. We are looking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced production planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. You should also be able to closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time.

To be successful as a production planner, you should be knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines. Ultimately, an exceptional production planner should demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.
 

Responsibilities

  • High level capacity planning for all aspects of Battery production
  • Support global allocation process and ‘back-up’ supply.
  • Coordination of a monthly order take process.
  • Monitor & report progress vs business plans.
  • Planning and monitoring supply to all customers (e.g. NMUK, Service, 3rd party). 
  • Review the existing PC & MH systems and processes. Identify opportunities for improvements and manage the introduction of enhancements required for the new business environment
  • Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

The person

The successful candidate will display the following attributes: 

  • Previous production control experience in high volume, manufacturing environment 
  • Experience of SAP operating systems is beneficial
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly excel 
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills 
  • Confident in communicating with customers and suppliers 
  • Self motivated and well organised 
  • Good problem solving skills 
  • Good understanding of capacity planning and forecast planning
