An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Manager to join this great business, at their site in Newton Aycliffe. Working with a friendly, dynamic team of people and supporting both the HR and Finance functions, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join this exciting business that has gone from strength to strength. The role will be hands on but there will be lots of variety and projects to get involved in.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Process and prepare monthly and weekly payroll payments on time, including processing starters and leavers and input journals.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of payroll staff.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly headcount information, accruals/journals/reconciliation files and calculating payments to HMRC.
  • Preparing and producing various reports for HMRC/RTI/Finance department and other monthly requirements.
  • Overseeing compliance with all statutory reporting and filing requirements.
  • Supporting all internal and external audit requirements related to payroll and associate invoices.
  • Complete tax year end, such as P35/P60?P11d/PSA requirements and reconciliations to payroll and accounts.
  • Administer and prepare benefit schedules for various providers.
  • Working closely with finance teams regarding accounts, payments and queries.
  • Preparing and processing Gender Pay Gap information in line with legislation.
  • Ensure pension payments are made accurately and on time to pension provider.
  • Experience of implementing a new payroll system is essential.
  • Experience of job architecture and alignment with employee benefits and salary benchmarking is essential.
  • Training employees and line manager to use Time & Attendance system.

You will be/have

  • Accounting Degree, CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
  • Annualised hours experience is essential.
  • Ambassador of Husqvarna key behaviours, customer first, focus and simplicity, collaboration, honesty and integrity, reliability.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills - high attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills - Kronos time and attendance systems and experience
