We’re based in the heart of Newcastle City Centre within easy reach of various transport links. This role can be home-based up to 2 days per week. 
 

Job description

The right candidate will be responsible for the development, strategy, and execution of all brand communications. This is a broad role that will allow development and will cover a variety of marketing areas, so would suit a self-starting individual, with an entrepreneurial mindset who is eager to make a splash. You will be joining our team at an exciting time of growth, where our digital marketing strategy will play a key role in growing brand awareness and engagement in key markets as we look to expand our portfolio.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a hands-on marketer with a drive for continuous improvement, be a fantastic content writer with experience across the full marketing mix, adapting your style to suit a range of customers profiles and markets, have excellent organisation skills, and an analytical mind that uses available data to make decisions.

Advance knowledge and experience in using social media and content generation is a must as this is the heart of the role.

You will work with the Marketing & Ecommerce Director to drive the business forward by implementing and developing various marketing strategies to drive traffic to the platforms and raise brand awareness in our markets.  Having developed an understanding of our customer base, you will manage our online campaigns across owned channels and paid media, including email, PR, social, and other channels, with agency support.

The digital marketing key objective is to deliver first-class social media campaigns across organic and paid social. You'll write content as well as publishing social media advertising and monitoring the campaign's successes with a focus on continuous improvement. A big part of this role is also influencer outreach as we look to grow our digital reach.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the management team to create robust and effective marketing strategies.
  • Use expertise to create a strong brand in the marketplace through social media management, website management, and suitable PR and corporate communications.
  • Responsible for managing social media platforms and delivering targeted social media campaigns to drive traffic to our various DTC and 3P platforms.
  • Manage and report on the marketing budget on a monthly/weekly basis ensuring value for money and ROI. This will include advertising costs e.g., paid and organic search.
  • Any experience in photography, videography, and editing of all things content would be a bonus++, as you’ll be managing shoots and content creation.
  • Drafting and distribution of press releases, editorials and advertorials, and any other written content with a focus on raising brand awareness.
  • Prepare social media content plans, create a regular publishing schedule & leverage the right tools to manage content - social media savvy.
  • Develop and maintain the consumer and influencer databases.

Key experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing and related fields.
  • Experience working on multi-channel online (PPC, social media, email, affiliate and influencer) digital marketing campaigns.
  • Previous experience with digital marketing systems; Google Analytics, Google AdWords, CMS and ECRM tools.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with an understanding of SEO.
  • Ambitious, with a desire to manage people and supporting agencies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • Experience of ECRM to understand customer segments for email marketing campaigns would be a bonus++.
  • Understanding of how / desire to maintain and develop a brand.
  • Agile mindset and desire to over deliver on targets (the rewards will follow).
