About the role

Here at Mayborn, our Direct-to-consumer platforms in the UK, US and Australia have exceeded expectations in the first year and a half of trading. We have now entered an exciting phase where we are looking to launch into additional markets and expand into other digital channels. We are looking for a highly commercial senior trading specialist to lead our team of talented trading managers as we step change the performance of the global DTC business.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading a dedicated DTC trading team in growing Tommee Tippee Direct to consumer sales to achieve the company goals on both top-line and profit numbers.
  • Supporting the trading managers in the formulation of annual trading plans, by category, to deliver against the commercial strategy expectations of the business in line with the Mayborn strategic plan.
  • Control of the analytics reporting for effective DTC analysis to optimize against KPI’s
  • Collaborate with the Global Customer experience function as well as global ICT teams on long term development aspirations, new market rollouts and front office requirement.
  • Provide recommendations for functional enhancements to the DTC platform, providing continued improvements to the consumer journey to drive better conversion and sales.
  • Support the global front office platform discussions with regions, capturing market specific requirements from brand, ecomm, category and consumer services.
  • Lead on engagement with Logistics and supply chain to ensure optimal operational approach for existing markets and support in the planning approach for new market rollouts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional NAM’s to ensure appropriate and coordinated considerations when executing against the agreed DTC commercial framework that includes pricing, promotion, product ranging and forecasting.
  • Work closely with Finance to maintain current receivables and manage credit risk.
  • Work closely with the Demand & Supply Planning Team to ensure accurate stock allocation, delivery and product forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the consumer experience and regional marketing functions to ensure deployment of optimal content and media channel plans to deliver against DTC growth aspirations.
  • Propose and execute appropriate consumer base development strategies for each DTC area, working to achieve company targets. Identify cross and up sell optimization opportunities including ways to develop and execute consumer personalization in line with our consumer proposition.
  • Accountable for execution of the DTC marketing plan by working in close collaboration with the global consumer experience team and 3rd party agencies.
  • Accountable for the coaching and development of the Direct Trading team. Ensuring that performance is managed effectively, with the use of MAP development for the whole team. Ensuring that succession plans are in place for the security and stability of the team.
  • Leading on DTC market role outs – to include range selection, support on site functionality requirements, resource requirements and allocation etc.

What skills and experiences you’ll need to ace this job

  • 5 years + ecommerce experience in a commercial role – DTC experience preferable but not essential.
  • A Passionate Digital Expert! You will be one of a growing number of digital champions internally and will be required to help create a digitally engaged culture.
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver at pace – you will be results and outputs driven with a fine eye for commercial detail.
  • Able to collaborate and influence at all levels – great communicator and able to support teams cross functionally in helping to upskill them.
  • Strong analytical skills – able to evaluate complex data and translate into value adding insights.
  • A team player – Enjoy being part of a team and rolling your sleeves up to get the job done.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders – strong project management skills.
