The role

The ASM CEE, supporting the Head of Distributors Markets is responsible for the development and growth of Mayborn brands in CEE (Romania, Hungary, Czech, Balkans, Ukraine…) in various trade channels ranging from baby trade Specialist retailers, Modern trade, Digital through the Distributors, on all product categories.
The ASM CEE will set the strategy for the area and manage directly the distributors relationships Through the establishment of  Joint Business Plans and annual negotiations to deliver agreed sales targets.  Will also be a credible partner to the chosen retailers/distributors, an insight and thought leader to drive category performance and maximize the opportunity for Mayborn brands.

The ASM CEE will be responsible for implementing promotional strategies and execution programmes across all key retail channels (Joint Business Plans) that will drive significant growth and presence via range expansion and online and in store activation programs. They will be in charge of forecasting and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis for their accounts and will conduct specific market analysis.

Job description

  • Develop, execute and manage the CEE sales strategy and plan with existing and future accounts
  • Complete customer Joint Business Plans that deliver incremental account profit and overall delivery of EBITDA targets
  • Improve account-, category-cash and profit – full P&L management & reporting responsibility
  • Delivery of forecasts, orders, and payment requirements and work with logistics and planning team to build adequate inventory within plans
  • Deliver a balanced pricing approach throughout customer base to deliver a sustainable pricing and margin plan
  • Develop compelling category management programmes that will drive growth on our core categories in market
  • Negotiate specific trading terms, compelling promotional strategies and other activity in line with the brand strategies EEM
  • Increase listings, distribution and visibility of the Mayborn portfolio across all existing accounts and future accounts
  • Track and monitor the compliance and impact of promotional plans, recommending corrective actions where necessary
  • Interrogate shopper, retailer and competitor insights in the region, in order to identify barriers to consumption and opportunities for category growth across all CEE
  • Management of ‘best in class’ execution of all New Product Developments and promotions
  • Shares best practices proactively across regions and learnings from other regions
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across Trade Marketing, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Finance, Category Management and Supply Chain

Skills & experience

  • Proven experience or strong appetite of growing / challenger brand in a sales or marketing led organisation
  • Sales experience in consumer goods categories in a well-known company (annual negotiation, customer business plan implementation in e-Commerce channel)
  • Must be fluent in spoken and writte English language 
  • Educated to degree level – preferably in a commercial discipline
  • Self-starter with a positive, resilient ‘can do’ attitude
  • Team player
  • Frequent local and international travel
  • Sociable, with a sense of fun
