The organisation;

My client is a leading international organisation with a strong brand across the UK.

The role;

This is a highly visible and influential role across the organisation, working with both internal and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of key reward initiatives across the business.  You will be the subject matter expert on Gender Pay Gap Reporting, Job Evaluation, external benchmarking activity and employee benefits, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and best practice as well as supporting the implementation of new initiatives.

Key elements of the role include;

  • supporting immediate change to the job evaluation framework and migration to new system
  • utilitising external benchmarking data for strategic decision making on global benefit policies
  • contributing to the overall financial wellbeing strategy and benefits package
  • full review of existing risk benefits, ensuring they are fit for purpose
  • identification of trends in the market, both internal and external developments and the impact on business strategy
  • ensuring the reward and benefit offering supports the Employee Value Proposition
  • providing analysis and support to develop fully costed and evaluated proposals on reward and benefits
  • subject matter expert on the global grading framework across the organisation
  • continuous improvement of policies and processes, recommending new and innovative approaches and solutions
There is the option for this role to be based remotely with travel to Sunderland and other locations

The person;


  • Proven reward experience and demonstrable track record of implementing new benefits
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into simple and engaging communications
  • Experience of job evaluation and external salary benchmarking
  • Commercially minded and a strong understanding of how reward impact on the corporate entity and EVP of an organisation
  • Able to build networks that provide internal and external customer insight
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Self starter with a 'can do' attitude, able to problem solve in a fast moving corporate environment
