A leading provider of services in the Process, Energy, and high complexity Industrial sectors, px align with their customers drivers and deliver change through energy transition.

The business is responsible for processing around 30% of the UK’s gas supply and operate many of the UK’s key strategic assets on behalf of their clients including gas terminals, power plant, renewables, and chemical sites.

Embedded within px is a focus on improving operating performance of commercial and industrial facilities, with zero harm to people, environmental assets and reputation.

Recently, px has undertaken a PE backed MBO, with an established leadership team fully committed to the next phase of the Group’s development.

The Deliverables

Business Leadership - px are seeking a candidate who is demonstrably able to drive the business growth and performance in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.  The CFO will be a strategic partner of the CEO, making advisory contributions that maximise enterprise value and shareholder interest.

People and Functional Development -  px already has a finance function that providing the SLT and external stakeholders with significant confidence in its numbers. Working with the team to develop a broader business partnering culture that aligns with the Groups strategic objectives, is the next stage of evolution. Optimising technology and creating internal succession planning are both priorities. 

Investor Relations - Responsibility alongside the CEO for managing the Investor relationship, ensuring optimal use of time, and building of trust.    

Planning and Performance - The CFO will take ownership of the Group budgeting process and personal responsibility for the realisation of the Group forecast by forming strong, collaborative SLT relationships that enables the CFO to stretch and challenge performance appropriately.  

The Person

Appropriate candidates will have held a Finance and Commercial leadership role within a complex business environment, i.e., multi-site / technical / contractual / international.  

It is essential that individuals will have operated as a Finance leader under a PE ownership structure, with at least one full investment and exit cycle.  

A background in leading a business that has undertaken significant and rapid organic / M&A growth is required. 

Experience of being a strategic leader in a business with an international footprint also holds importance.
