Border Biscuits are an independently run business who have been baking Beautifully Crafted Biscuits at their factory in Lanark since 1984. Border Biscuits are the leading supplier of premium biscuits in Scotland and produce the UK’s No.1 Chocolate Ginger biscuit in the UK. Their amazing biscuits are stocked in many major supermarkets, retailers and businesses not only in the UK, but internationally.

In their Lanark factory, 170 people are personally responsible for outstanding quality, whether they are sourcing ingredients, weighing, mixing, baking or packing. The role

As the business looks to embark on the next stage of its growth journey, there is a need to recruit a Head of Production (Factory Manager) that can play a pivotal role in influencing and driving the right behaviours, helping people to understand ‘what good looks like’ and ultimately ensuring long term success. A well invested site, there are a number of different opportunities that can be utilised in order to support the business in achieving its growth, and the Head of Production will play a key role in that decision making process.

The successful candidate will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Lanark manufacturing facility by driving a culture of continuous improvement across the whole manufacturing team, developing the teams to their true potential, and delivering improvements and projects that make the business fit for today and the future. You will drive performance through achievement and review of Operational KPI’s, effective project delivery and engaging with all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

• Demonstrable experience in food manufacturing in a senior production of factory manager capacity

• Confident challenging the status quo and brining new ideas to the table
