My client is part of a large, international organisation with a number of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities across the globe. The site in Newcastle is integral to their global network and is undergoing a period of investment, change and transformation.
Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance and Technical Quality, the role is responsible for completing audits globally, writing up audits, preparing audits and supporting with the Quality Management System on site. You will also support with non-conformances on-site, identifying new suppliers and implementing a risk-based approach.
You will be conducting quality audits of external suppliers and service providers including API manufacturers, contract manufacturers, packaging component manufacturers and contract laboratories.
This is a very varied role, with several areas of focus, covering GDP and GMP, including API, Packaging, Couriers and more. This is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your pharmaceutical manufacture experience, having worked in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Engineering or Auditing role previously.
Ideally, you will have experience working within the Pharmaceutical Industry, within a quality related role. You have technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and QC operations.
You will work well autonomously, often required to work remotely for extended periods of time.
The role is home based and would require 1 to 2 visits to the North East (main site) a week, when in the UK. The role includes up to 50% of your time spent completing supplier audits internationally. You will be frequently required to travel within the role, including trips to Asia and USA.
You will be self-motivated, with a proactive approach to improving systems across multiple suppliers.
This is an exciting role to join a progressive organisation going through a period of investment and transformation that can offer you variety in your role along with the ability to work from home.
The organisation is invested in training and developing their employees, with the potential to complete courses whilst in the role.
