Our client are a market leading private equity backed FMCG business with European headquarters in the North of England. They Provide branded and licenced products to a range of retailers including Argos, Amazon, Department Stores, and a large Independent channel. Their European business is predominantly serviced through distributors. They are currently looking to appoint a Head of Digital Sales to strengthen and grow their focus on profitable growth across pureplay channels in the UK and European Territories.
This individual is responsible for leading all Digital/ E-Commerce sales and development across all pure play customers and the companies own B2C websites across Europe as well as the longer-term digital strategy of the business. You will be responsible for implementing activities to drive awareness, new customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue for the brand. The responsibilities include setting the growth strategy, overseeing resources, and driving the execution. You will be the day-to-day lead with the likes of Amazon, Wayfair and Zulilly building our business with these key customers to deliver sustainable sales growth.
From a technology perspective, this individual is the operational and strategic owner. They are also responsible for the operations of and the leveraging of our site data analytics to help drive improved site usability and improved conversion. They own the daily monitoring of site performance from a functionality, usability, and flow perspective. In depth knowledge of site key performance indicators and utilizing it across our best-of-breed data analytics package is extremely important to be successful. You will lead the E Commerce team within the business which currently consists of an E Commerce Development Manager and an E Commerce Development Assistant.
- Strong Digital sales understanding
- External Sales experience ideally with pure play operators
- Web Analytics tools
- Strong knowledge of search engine marketing, and all its variations
- Social media analytics tools
- Ecommerce platform Shopify.
- Online advertising tools such as Google AdWords, Google Product Listing Ads (PLA's) and display ads
- Experience working with the major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google
You will likely have a minimum of 5 Years’ experience, which can be a combination of E Commerce, online technology, application development.
