The organisation;

My client is a leading international manufacturing organisation with sites across the UK and Europe

The role;

This is a great opportunity to lead a small team at a fast pace manufacturing site in the North East.  Based from the site in Sunderland, the HR Manager will support the General Manager at the site and work as part of the site leadership team.  Key elements of the role include;

  • working as a trusted advisor to the leadership team at the Sunderland site, advising on HR best practice 
  • driving the HR objectives which will enable the site to meet targets
  • advising on complex ER matters
  • overseeing payroll activities, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately
  • driving local engagement activities
  • looking at ways to reduce absence levels and improve health and well-being
  • leading on recruitment, reward and learning across the site
This role is based full time on site

The person;

To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience and qualifications;

  • experience of working as an HR Manager / Business Partner in a fast paced manufacturing business
  • good all round experience within a busy HR department including  employee relations, recruitment, learning and development and absence management
  • you will have some experience of payroll and have a keen eye for data and numbers
  • you will be educated to graduate level and CIPD part qualified (or equivalent)
