The company

Nigel Wright is recruiting exclusively for a Senior Brand Manager to join a private equity-backed consumer services business in Newcastle. The business is growing quickly, YOY and operate in both B2B and B2C markets. 

There is now an opportunity for an experienced brand/campaign manager to join an established marketing team. This role will manage a small team and take the lead on the strategic development of a brand, working with a marketing director, as well as owing the campaign and customer journey strategy.

Applications are welcomed from strong creative marketers with business or consumer services experience. This role can be based remotely 3 days per week, with 2 days spent in the head office in Newcastle. 

Job description

  • Oversee some key areas, primarily covering brand, content & creative, product marketing, events & community and operations.
  • You’ll be responsible for leading the content strategy, including the vision and roadmap, across all our B2C and B2B business lines.
  • Content will be predominantly digital and you’ll need a keen awareness of what resonates depending on platform, media etc. Your content creation will be rooted in research and analysis and will be goal-orientated.
  • Build a brand through deep customer knowledge, a community around a purpose and a cohesive comms strategy
  • Manage the internal and external comms strategy, including all PR
  • Work closely with the acquisition side of the team, that covers demand generation, sales enablement and analytics
  • Help to build customer journeys and content for every part of those journeys
  • Manage the measurement strategy for content success
  • Devise full lifecycle campaigns and come up with entire creative concepts from scratch. You’ll have a team to support you to do so
  • This is a hands-on role and so you’ll need to be close enough to your craft to write, devise, analyse and create to the very highest standards when needed

Person specification

  • Experience in brand marketing, content management, marketing project management, product marketing, producing content frameworks for the web
  • Experience in project management, able to drive forward key initiatives, lead teams and manage workflow, efficiently prioritising
  • Strong team leadership skills with demonstrable experience of line management
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B would be a distinct bonus
  • Adept at using personas, consideration funnels and the customer journey 
  • Ability to manage agencies and stakeholders
