The Company

Nigel Wright are partnering with a growing retail business who are expanding their BI and Data team. The company have operations across the UK, Ireland, US, Spain and Australia and are on a exciting journey to AWS with their data set. 

The Role

You will work alongside other IT teams and commercial departments including Accounts, Procurement, Marketing and Online. Key Responsibilities include:

• Work with the business to set up 'self-serve' Power BI reports and dashboards that can be used to drive the business forward
• Identify relevant fields that will be housed in a data lake in the cloud (AWS) 
• Design efficient dashboards and insights for all decision makers within the company 
• Proactively seek opportunities from across the organisation to improve the BI and data engineering function 

The Requirements

This is a great role where you will get the chance to shape the journey into AWS and work with an established team. My client are happy to consider someone who would consider this a step up as well as someone with plenty of experience. Key requirements include:

• Strong Power BI (DAX, Power query and design) skills
• Full understanding of the ETL/ELT process 
• Comfortable working with facts and dimensional data models 
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
