Supply Chain Strategies Senior Program Manager

As a project leader in the global supply chain strategy team, you will be at the heart of the business-transforming decisions at the core of which is the vision to continuously change lives of billions. With a global presence in over 190 countries, Unilever is looking to develop global leaders with the right motivation, skills and mindset to realize its strategic agenda.


  • Own relationships with senior stakeholders (WL4+) for program development and department delivery.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders on their strategy to design programs through which to deliver projects across product groups and geographies.
  • Generate new ideas for methodologies, frameworks, processes and tools to improve the department’s positive contribution to the company.
  • Oversee projects and ensure they are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Support individual and team performance through strong team orientation, coaching and feedback.
  • Examples of existing project programs (non-exhaustive): digitizing supply chain, manufacturing network design, make vs. buy, capital investment evaluations, complexity, cost optimisation, design to value, route-to-market, cost to serve, internal and external benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and E2E value chain analysis.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' industry experience, including strategic/business development roles (FMCG preferred) or experience in management consulting roles.
  • Experience in digital strategy and new digital business model development in a leading corporate or management consultancy, or in supply chain and operations is an advantage.
  • Proven work experience as a project manager with a bias for action, leading cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Keen to challenge status quo.
  • Very strong data storyboarding and communication skills and proven experience in building effective relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing decision makers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A solid understanding of cost accounting, financial accounting and project management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including long-term stay (up to 3 weeks at a time) across different parts of the world.
