The Business

The Inn Collection Group is a fast growing, PE backed, highly acquisitive Hospitality Group, operating across the North of England.  There are currently 14 operational business units within the Group and a healthy pipeline of acquisition opportunity ahead that will result in the Group doubling in size over the next 12-24 months.  

Backed by Alchemy Partners, the Group is in an exciting phase of its development, it has a proven, strong operating model and is well placed to maximise the market opportunity presented by Covid-19 disruption.  
As a result of this, ICG has identified the need to invest in its leadership team to ensure the organisation can successfully deliver and sustain its stretching strategic plan at pace.  
 

The Role

This is a multi-faceted remit with responsibility for all aspects of the Groups Property strategy and Estate maintenance. 

The headlines of this include:

  • The lead contributor in the Property Acquisition process including identification and evaluation of new targets, building, and presenting the investment case to the Board, running the acquisition process and integration of the property into the Group 
  • Responsible for evaluating and delivering on structural changes to the existing portfolio
  • Likely to develop and lead an In-House Property & Estates team. 
  • Responsible for developing the right advisory network and leading Co-Sourcing arrangements. 
  • Ensuring the existing Estate is optimal and in line with ICG Brand standards.
  • Responsible for leading the build of any “out of the ground” developments.  
  • Project managing all Property Capital Expenditure including aspects such as property refurb and building projects.

The Person

  • Strategically astute, able to align and deliver the Property strategy with the overall Group strategy.
  • Commercially aware.  Able to quickly understand the key drivers of ICGs trading business and provide sound property decisions and advice
  • A proven leader of people, able to develop capability and deliver high performance.
  • A relationship builder and influencer.  This role will have a broad base of internal and external stakeholders.  Candidates should have a strong Northern Property network to leverage from. 
  • Background experience - ICG are open minded on sector background experience to compliment the existing, strong sector knowledge already within the business.  Property acquisition experience within a multisite trading environment across a fairly big geography is advantageous. 
  • Driven and ambitious, the candidate must be up for the challenge and excited by the prospect of playing a lead role in the fast-paced development of ICG.
