Saputo Dairy UK are now looking for an established Engineering Manager at Nuneaton to form part of the SLT and work cross functionally to deliver the Engineering strategy. This is a critical hire for the site, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to take ownership for creating a team that will pride themselves on getting things done and delivering. There is a need to instill leadership and accountability in order to influence both the day to day operations of the site and also the longer term CI strategy.
The role will naturally suit an individual who can impact on BAU engineering – OEE, waste management, reliability, but has broader experience in delivering change and managing projects – someone who has developed their career up through Engineering.

This successful candidate will be highly visible to a number of key stakeholders and will have the opportunity to create a strong brand for themselves which will inevitably influence their career trajectory from a longer-term perspective. In this hire, Saputo Dairy UK are looking for an individual who is keen to progress their career - this may be as a potential future site leader or a move into a functional subject matter expert in Group – and with this, they are  committed to providing the relevant development and training required to ensure a long-term career within the organisation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A strong engineering background within a Blue Chip FMCG business – ideally food or packaging. Some operations experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Proven experience in delivering change programmes and engineering projects
  • A natural people manager with proven success creating high performing teams
  • An inquisitive nature, and a natural desire to seek out alternative processes or outcomes – a CI mindset
  • The ability to influence, engage and work with the site leadership team
