This is a pivotal role in the new operating model of a highly successful, international consumer products business. Working directly with the CEO and senior management, the Global Head of Product Development (Director) will institute the methodology for new products as a core part of the demand-driven operating model in contrast to the historic approach of making products and finding buyers.
Product Development will be positioned as the driving force in the R&D > Product Management > Marketing and Brand activation life-cycle with key data inputs from third party production capabilities and consumer insights. It's an entirely new role with the potential for a huge sense of personal achievement by shaping the vision and team structure for the function.
Our perfect candidate has a blend of technical, product development and consumer marketing experience from a best-in-class consumer business.
Early career development within blue chip FMCG in marketing, R&D or other relevant path would be advantageous.
You will have been key to successful new product introductions to multiple markets.

Without doubt you will possess world-class communication skills and be accustomed to close collaborations with senior management.
Given the level of responsibility, and the investment behind this, P&L ownership experience will be relevant.
The business is privately owned, financially sound and led by a smart, pragmatic team of leaders with blue chip backgrounds.
Relocation will not be necessary, applicants can be home based (within UK and Europe) with manageable travel.
