Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, this will be a new appointing onto the Trading Board.  The Board have recognised that they require an experienced technology expert to enable them to optimise the use of technology solutions as the business continues to grow.

Scope and Purpose

The successful candidate will have full ownership of defining and implementing the technical strategy for the Group.  Responsible for delivering appropriate technology solutions that will enhance and increase integration of existing and new  platforms to enable improvements in business processes and customer service.  The role will also be responsible for the delivery and optimisation of technical services in the Group, including leadership and development of the internal team and of 3rd party suppliers.

Key Experience

Candidates must have previous experience from within retail or a similar sector and been part of a senior leadership team or operations Board.

  • They will have strong leadership experience and have managed and developed a technology team in a comparable sized organisation that has experienced significant growth.
  • They must be able to influence and gain buy-in from the wider business to ensure that new solutions or upgrades to existing systems are delivered effectively.
  • Candidates will have a sound understanding of a wide range of enterprise level technology solutions and possess a strong customer focus.
  • They will have excellent leadership skills along with great communication  and stakeholder management capability. They will be able to manage suppliers effectively to ensure services are delivered professionally and are value for money.
  • They will have demonstrable skills in optimisation of systems that underpin the wider business strategy for growth.  This may include integration and automation of systems.
