We're delighted to be supporting a growing technology business based in Stockton on Tees in the sourcing of a new Delivery Manager. The company are market leaders in their field, supporting a range of clients based around the UK and Europe.
You will be working closely with a small, multi-discipline team including developers, analysts and support engineers and your role will be to manage the development and delivery process. You will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the team, providing direction and guidance where necessary, reviewing the development and delivery processes and implementing improvements to drive quality and productivity. The company has a strong technical skill set and so your focus will be on allocating workload, managing timescales and budgets in addition to working with customers to capture requirements, develop the scope of projects, building a development schedule accounting and managing customer expectations.
Internally you will need to evaluate the performance of the team, setting out plans for training and development as well as providing coaching/mentoring.
Ideally candidates will have a background in development so be comfortable with the full development lifecycle however this is not a hands on role so excellent knowledge of product delivery would be preferred. You’ll need to have a background in delivery or project management, coming from a product background, with experience using an approach such as Prince2, Scrum or Kanban.
