IPN have two powerhouse brands in Harringtons and Wagg, with the former being the fastest growing brand in the pet food category in the UK. They are the number one manufacturer in the UK for dry dog food and are expanding fast into new categories, such as wet food, treats, cat and beyond. 

IPN have invested more than £55M in their supply chain facilities over the last fifteen years and have impressive facilities near Thirsk, North Yorkshire and in Kinmel, North Wales. The Role:

Inspired Pet Nutrition want to be a world class pet supplier, and you can be part of that!

As they embark on a journey of continuous improvement, cultural change and a desire to continually challenge the status quo, they are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager who can be a pivotal part of this journey. 

Working closely with the Group Operations Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial flare. The values you display must compliment the successes that are already visible through the change implemented over the last 12 months. However, these are by no means ‘finished’ sites. Your inquisitive nature will be encouraged, and it is this approach that will allow you to create and define your own legacy. As the business looks to grow, you will be an integral part in creating the blue-print of how additional sites will be run.

This role requires the ability to develop a culture of Operational Excellence and encouraging all team members to influence and drive improvements. As the business continues to grow and meet its strategic objectives, this position will be crucial to the future succession planning strategy within the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team to create an environment where all employees are encouraged to identify opportunities that will help achieve new levels of success
  • Improving productivity by creating a culture where all employees are encouraged to take a proactive approach to CI and driving operational excellence
  • Identifying and leading capital investment opportunities that deliver financial and/or safety benefits
  • Taking ownership for the CI budget across multiple sites 


Applicants will need to be an inspirational leader with the ability to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Extensive manufacturing experience, operating in a high-volume environment
  • Proven success in creating and developing a team of individuals who are able to support the sites in achieving WCM standards
  • Experience driving CI and operational excellence
  • Proven experience delivering OPEX and LEAN initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence succession planning
