The Role

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will take ownership for providing effective leadership, managment and coaching to your teams to enable them to reach their full potential whilst supporting the continued rapid expansion of the manufacturing team.  You will play a key role in the development and implementation of the manufacturing strategy to underpin the overall business plans.  Working closely with your Team Leaders, you will develop a high calibre manufacturing team to deliver Quality, Cost & Delivery targets are met in a complex multiproduct environment.  

You will take ownership for:

  • Demonstrating the discipline and behaviours of a world class manufacturing leader. 
  • Managment and promotion of a positive Health & Safety culture.
  • Developing your team through Team Leaders to embed lean techniques throughout the manufacturing areas. 
  • Identify targets for process to improvement to optimise performance and promote a continuous improvement culture throughout the plant.  
  • Acheive budget targets for Labour, Materials and other costs. 

About you

As an experienced Production or Manufacturing Manager, you will have a proven track record in optimising manufacturing performance through your Supervisors in a complex assembly based manufacturing plant.  You will demonstrate the energy, enthusiasm & drive to embed a positive culture of continuous improvement to increase productivity.  Commercially minded, you will have the ability to analyse KPI's and understand how to improve performance through your teams.  Working closely as part of the Management Team for the business, you will understand the strategic objectives for Tharsus and make a real contribution to maximise efficiency in a rapidly expanding and changing business.
