The Role:

  • Reporting into the Group Accountant and ultimately the Group Accounting Manager 
  • The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for the Group consolidation of the monthly management accounts and the year-end IFRS consolidation & audit
  • Partner with the finance teams across 22 countries (via telephone, email & skype), dealing with accounting queries
  • Systems exposure to TM1 (management accounts), JD Edwards (ERP system) and IBM Controller (Group consolidation package)
  • Involvement in multiple projects across the financial calendar (recent projects have included the design and roll out of IBM Controller and managing the group’s adoption of IFRS 16)

The Person:

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA from Big 4/mid-tier firms  
  • Strong recent technical expertise
  • Stakeholder engagement – strong interpersonal skills, partnering with the finance teams remotely across the group.  The ability to develop relationships here is essential, being particularly aware of different cultures and practices
  • Ambitious and the desire to grow professionally
  • Bright and articulate
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Flexible in approach and willing to take on new responsibilities (including involvement in multiple projects) with the opportunity to shape existing/new systems/processes
  • Desire to work in a financial reporting role
