The Company

We're delighted to be supporting a well known organisation based in Newcastle city centre. With over 40 years of trading experience the business have provided a vital service to residents of the region, expanding their offering and in recent years investing heavily in improving services through adoption of new technologies.

The Role

You will be required to lead and manage the complete IT and BAU testing lifecycle, encompassing analysis, design, implementation, and execution. Ensure timely and robust delivery of testing activities through a structured and governed approach, proactively escalating and resolving defects, risks, and issues.

Experience should include;
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (Waterfall/Agile), cloud technologies, and functional/non-functional testing methodologies.
Leveraging test and defect management tools and establishing effective test conditions and scripts.
Delivery of testing activities on time and within governance standards (time, cost, quality). Knowledgeable about business systems, cloud architecture, ICT platforms, Windows, databases, and various hardware.
Able to lead and unify cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, proactively identifying and escalating risks with mitigation strategies, and effectively influencing stakeholders.

The Person

We're looking for a proven Test Lead with hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, product specialists, business analysts, project managers, product managers, and business stakeholders). Experienced in managing complex and diverse testing workstreams across platforms, systems, and ICT devices. A track record of successfully delivering on-time testing activities within required governance standards (time, cost, quality). Extensive experience in performance testing, API testing, and test script/condition creation.

This is a new role and offers an excellent variety of work. You will be based out of an office in Newcastle city centre and should be able to travel in on average 3 days per week, sponsorship is not available and candidates will need to have a long term (3+ years ideally) eligibility to work in the UK.

There is a generous salary, up to £52,000, and benefits package on offer.
