Systems Analyst

The Company

Nigel Wright Tech is delighted to be working with a not-for-profit organisation in their search for a Systems Analyst.  

The Role

The Systems Analyst will mainly be responsible for analysing, designing and implementing information systems to meet the needs of the organisation. You will work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements, evaluate existing systems and proposing solutions. Other responsibilities include: 

  • System Management:
  1. Manage the day to day operation of key IT systems, ensuring high availability, reliability and performance 
  2. Support and maintain implementations of system monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues before they impact users 
  • System Design and Development: 
  1. Assist Product Owners in designing system solutions and integrations that meet business requirements, considering factors such as scalability, performance and security 
  2. Deliver system change requests whether that be through configuration, low code, collaborating with third parties or development teams to implement changes and enhancements 
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: 
  1. Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and ensure that solutions meet business requirements 
  2. Conduct system integration testing to identify and address any issues or discrepancies between different components 
  • Implementation and Deployment: 
  1. Assist the product owner to plan, coordinate and upskill for the deployment of new systems, system updates and integrations ensuring minimal disruption to business operations 
  2. Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the adoption of new systems and processes 
  • System Maintenance and Support 
  1. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing systems, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues 
  2. Perform proactive regular system maintenance activities, such as software updates, patches and configuration changes

The Requirements

Key requirements: 

  • Commercial experience within a Systems Analyst role 
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and project management principles 
  • Experience with business processing tools and techniques 
  • Comfortable working with 3rd party providers 
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, and data analysis tools
