This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of software development projects within a highly collaborative and innovative R&D team. You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, driving process improvements, and ensuring software is architecturally sound, maintainable, and well-tested.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage embedded software engineering projects from conception to completion
- Improve software development methodologies and best practices
- Manage configuration control and change processing
- Work closely with stakeholders, ensuring transparency on project progress, velocity, and burndown
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely delivery
- Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Drive automated testing methods and frameworks
- Oversee release management processes and best practices
Experience
✔ Degree in Electronic / Software Engineering or equivalent
✔ Proven experience in leading software development projects within embedded systems
✔ Strong understanding of embedded C / C++ and object-oriented methodologies
✔ Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, JIRA / Confluence, and automated testing frameworks
✔ Knowledge of APIs, Web Services, and SIL-rated software (desirable)
✔ Exceptional stakeholder management and team leadership skills
