Software Development Manager
The Company
We are working with an award winning, national software product business who have developed a suite of products used by a global customer base. With an excellent company culture they work well as a technical team to deliver cutting edge solutions using a modern tech stack and approach.
Recent contract wins and subsequent recruitment mean the business needs to add more structure and are looking to take on a number of talented Software Engineering Managers. These will be new roles in the business and the focus will be to support the Head of Engineering with their people and delivery management responsibilities, supporting the company's ambitious growth goals for 2025.
The Role
We are looking for people with an understanding of the development lifecycle however this will not be a hands-on role. You’ll be working with the developers, aiming to build and maintain a high performing team not solving technical problems.

The Person
- Experience leading a team to deliver large projects on time and on-budget
- Experience or exposure to line management (121s, career progression planning etc)
- An understanding of development principals such as SOLID
- Delivery using agile methodologies
- Have worked in an environment that promoted continuous improvement processes.
- Ideally you'll have managed people and have the communication skills and empathy required to successfully coach/mentor in order to improve performance.
