Nigel Wright are pleased to be working with an international food manufacturing business who are looking to grow the NPD team, with the recruitment of a Senior NPD technologist. A leading, private label manufacturing, with an international presence who pride themselves at being the forefront of innovation. Although this role is based in the North East, the role will influence and partner across all their international sites. Sitting in the Central NPD team, this is a great opportunity for an ambitions NPD Technologist or Senior NPD Technologist what is wanted to progress their career.
The role
Working with a number of stakeholders, the successful candidate will identify and bring to fruition new concepts that enhances the companies technological capabilities and competitive advantage, whilst also driving cross selling activity with the commercial team. Responsible for ensuring the execution of development projects both NPD and Product improvements that are delivered to the required timescales, cost targets and key attributes. You will demonstrate a commercial and creative mindset, seeking to maintain & improve competitive advantage by being attuned to ongoing developments in new materials and processes, competitor activity and market trends, in the associated categories.
The person
This role would suit someone who has experience working in NPD, and is looking to progress their career. Experience in FMCG is essential, with a preference towards bakery. A desire to travel internationally, with the ability to influence across different departments. An excellent opportunity for an ambitious foodie who loves Product Development and customer interaction.
