The company

Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards in food safety and quality? We are seeking a dedicated Quality (and Food Safety) Systems Manager to join our Technical team and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality and Food Safety systems.

The role

As a key member of the site Technical team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and managing Quality and Food Safety Systems in alignment with our Group Quality Strategy. You will work cross-functionally to ensure the production of safe, high-quality products and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Quality & Food Safety Systems: Develop, implement, and improve site systems aligned with GFSI standards (e.g., BRC, FSSC 22000). Oversee HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and manage audits, incidents, and non-conformances.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Manage documentation, food safety policies, and customer complaint systems.
  • Support Internal Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements, provide insights, and ensure alignment with site and group standards.
  • Manage Supplier & Customer Relationships: Lead Supplier Relationship Management, ensure supplier compliance, and support customer quality requirements and complaint resolution.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives, implement corrective actions, and optimize quality programs using problem-solving tools.

The candidate

This is an excellent role for someone who is passionate about coaching and developing across the factory floor, and really elevating the quality culture. We are looking for someone who has the following experience:

  • Proven experience working with all the major retailers
  • Leading a food safety team
  • Managing HACCP flows, risk assessments and suppliers
  • Lead auditor experience
  • Quality & Food Safety Systems Management
