Our client

We are delighted to be working with a highly successful global business to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. They have a large, well-established manufacturing site and design centre in Tyne and Wear.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities include:

Lead individual projects or participate as project team member.
Lead Pre-Projects about new technologies.
Manage Certification of the products and secure their compliance with all relevant standards.
Remain up to date with all current appropriate technical and legal standards for the product lines.
Support the scheduling of NPD Projects in conjunction with Technical Manager.
Work together with manufacturing in plant and with the group test facility.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

Qualification in Electrical Engineering or related subject to degree level, or have HNC/HND plus relevant industry experience.
Passion for innovation and product development.
Strong skills in communication and stakeholder management.
A diverse, inclusive and responsible culture.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
English language, written, oral and presentation.
CAD experience is desirable.
