Power Platform Developer

We’re working on an exciting opportunity to join a new team supporting the continued growth of a North East based business. Building on the last 15 years the company now have over 1000 employees and customers across the country but no plans to slow down
As a Power Apps Developer you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering on the new Low Code/Power Apps strategy which is being used to rapidly evolve the backend solutions used across the business.

You’ll get hands-on with the Power Platform designing, developing, and managing cutting-edge applications that streamline processes, solve real user challenges, and improve services for their internal user base.

In this role, you’ll not only contribute to the design of these applications, but also ensure their stability, robustness, and resilience keeping services running effectively and efficiently.

The Role

The Power Platform Developer is responsible for leading on the management, maintenance and development of a range of applications within Microsoft Power Platform. You'll work on a range of back-office solutions, adding new features, improving automation of processes and tasks, and accessing, analysing and displaying data to help drive commercial decisions. This role will be expected to lead on development, assurance, data quality, data security, best practice, and reusable components. 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain and enhance existing applications developed using MS PowerApps and Power Pages.
  • Lead on the development of new complex Power App applications which incorporate both Power Automate and PowerBI.
  • Oversee and lead other software development staff on MS Power Platform technologies.
  • Work as part of a team or independently (depending on the size of the project) to undertake development, testing and implementation of MS applications to meet specific project requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of technology issues arising in delivery and operation of applications developed on MS Power Platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to build a comprehensive set of requirements, aligning with the needs of the business.

The Person

Experience in developing automated solutions using Microsoft Power Platform products such as MS PowerApps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse
Proven ability to create professional Power Apps for business users with intuitive interfaces, associated views, forms, business rules, relationships and process flows, incorporate authentication, data validation and visualisation
Strong experience in PowerBi and other relevant technologies.
Agile experience (scrums, sprints and retrospectives)
Strong, demonstrable problem-solving, analytical, lateral thinking, troubleshooting and investigation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, able to empathise and develop relationships.
Able to work autonomously; self-motivated, organised and able to take responsibility for planning own tasks and delivering outcomes.

Candidates will need to be local to the North East as some time in the office is required.
