Materials Controller 24m FTC
The Role
Key Responsibilities for the Materials Controller include:
- Coordinate material and equipment requirements from operational and engineering teams
- Manage supplier activity, lead times and delivery schedules
- Expedite orders and resolve supply or availability issues proactively
- Support material availability for operational and project delivery
- Create and manage orders within ERP and legacy systems
- Maintain accurate inventory and materials data
- Work closely with logistics teams to support site deliveries
- Support demand planning and identify supply risks or trends
- Escalate supplier performance or delivery concerns where required
- Operate effectively within a changing and evolving systems environment
The Organisation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Controller for a 24m period with the potential to go permanent working on a supportive an established materials team.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, procurement and logistics colleagues to manage material flow, resolve supply issues and support operational delivery. You’ll be joining a supportive team structure with strong exposure to large-scale supply chain operations and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving operational environment and enjoys solving problems collaboratively.
The Materials Controller will have:
- Experience within materials control, supply chain, logistics, inventory or procurement support
- Experience coordinating suppliers and managing material availability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence working across systems, spreadsheets and manual processes
- The ability to prioritise effectively under pressure
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
