Material Planning Manager

The Company

We are thrilled to be supporting an established North east manufacturer in their search for a Materials Planning Manager to lead the production planning and customer service team.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior supply chain manager, this role takes leadership of planning and customer service activities to ensure timely and cost effective material planning, scheduling and inventory control, aligning planning with inventory management
Some of the key deliverables are:

  • Lead and manage all planning activities including works order creation, scheduling and planning controls best practice.
  • Develop S&OP process to support Division strategy and 98% LISC
  • Ensure available systems such as PFEP and S&OP are utilised in the continuous improvement of all planning activities and FGS control
  • Ensure all production planning policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Division and Corporation

The Person

We are looking for candidates who display to following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in a similar role, managing a team in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Lean training and experience
  • System focussed, using data to drive decision making
  • Experience managing an S&OP process
