The Role:

As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial operations of the business, providing key insights and driving profitability. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on costing work, operational involvement, and strategic international exposure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Costing & Analysis: Partnering with production teams to understand and analyse manufacturing costs, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing management accounts and providing timely and accurate financial insights to aid decision-making.
  • International Exposure: Collaborating with teams in the US to support financial processes and reporting, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Reviewing and enhancing financial systems and processes, driving innovation and best practice across the business.
  • Business Partnering: Working closely with senior management and operational teams to provide financial guidance and support.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who thrives in a hands-on role and is eager to influence and drive business success. You will:

  • Have a strong background in management accounting, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or costing.
  • Be comfortable working with data to generate insights and provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
