The Company

Nigel Wright is supporting a market leading manufacturing business in the Food Industry, in their search for an experienced Maintenance Technician.

Salary – circa £50,000

Shift - Panama Shift Pattern

Location – Gateshead

The Role

The experienced Maintenance Technician will be required to –

·       Consistent reporting of all activities including breakdown repair.

·       Target the completion of 100% of PM’s, using forward thinking to get maintenance done whenever possible.

·       Understanding of health & safety, rules and regulations.

·       To assist in initiatives and proactive working to keep site waste below 3%.

·       To support an engineering function that can deliver 85% OEE on site.

·       Support with PLCs, HMI Scada controlled systems.

·       Effectively respond to breakdowns across a fast-paced manufacturing site.

The Person

Maintenance Technician applicants will have –

Completed Apprenticeship with a NVQ L3 or above in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
Strong communication skills, working effectively with all stakeholders on site
Experience in manufacturing industry within a dedicated maintenance role
