The role
A key role within the structure of this organisation. The Governance Officer will be responsible for;
- Corporate governance systems and processes.
- Working with Executives, Non-Executives developing reporting and assurance processes.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the regulatory framework, including relevant legislation.
- Establish and maintain procedures for sound corporate governance and advise the board of concerning governance issues.
- Develop Risk reports and carry out monthly review of risk register.
- Responsibility for one staff member.
The person
- Experience working as a company secretary or in a senior governance role in a complex organisation.
- Ability to analyse data and translate into an easily understood format
- Experience of supporting boards and committees
- Ability to handle sensitive situations confidently and confidentially.
