About the opportunity;


We are delighted to be working with a fast growing, privately owned organisation who is entering the next phase of it's growth journey.  With a strong foundation and employee base in Middlesbrough, they continue to invest in local communities and develop strong employment opportunities.

This is a brand new role within the organisation and will play a crucial role within the organisation, providing expert advice and guidance on all people related activities across the group and being a trusted advisor to the owners and SLT.  

This role will have a broad operational remit and will need to take on day to day responsibility of the function as well as creating and embedding strategy for people and performance.

  • The Head of People will be responsible for creating a visionary people strategy that fully incorporates each of the business divisions and enhances the culture.
  • This person will need to have the capability and ambition to take on a broader role as the organisation expands and be adaptable to respond to the changing needs of the division within the Group.

Key elements of the role include;
  • Developing consistent tools and processes across the Group that embrace the differences within each division.
  • Creating and embedding performance management tools and frameworks in order to drive high performance.
  • Establishing robust policies and processes and effective ways of working.
  • Support future acquisitions and integration activity.
  • Develop leadership and management capability to support future growth ambitions.
  • Create a solid EVP that helps to attract, retain, develop and reward talent for the Group.
  • Establish a robust reward framework that suits the needs of all employees.

Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in Middlesbrough.
 

The ideal candidate with be able to demonstrate;

 

  • Our client is looking for a high calibre HR Leader who is keen to be part of the growth journey.
  • Candidates must be able to adapt their style to suit the demands of the business and will be comfortable working with business owners, investors, colleagues and communities.
  • Candidates must be self starters and be comfortable with little to no administration support as they will be self sufficient and fully autonomous in this role.
  • Candidates will be able to demonstrate your experience of creating something from scratch through to developing future strategic goals.
